Study objective
Effect study:
A smoking cessation intervention, initiated after cervical cancer screening in Dutch general practice by the practice assistant, has effect on the number of women smokers performing a quit attempt (in comparison to standard care).
Procesevaluation:
A smoking cessation intervention is acceptable, and feasible to both women participating in cervical cancer screening and health care workers in Dutch general practice.

Inclusion criteria
- Women visiting general their practice for a cervical smear for the national cervical cancer screening program
- Dutch speaking
Exclusion criteria
- Women undergoing a smear in general practice not for the national cervical cancer screening program
- Non-Dutch speaking
