Characteristics of self referred patients at the emergency department.
The research consists of two branches:
1. Questionnaires filled in by the self referring patients;
2. Data from patients files (sex, age, triage colour, day of the week, time of presentation, additional research performed, diagnosis, hospitalisation, treatment, righty at emergency department).

During 1 year, over 4 periods of one month we want to hand out questionnaires to self referring patients at the emergency department. Then we want to get information from the patient files. The goal is to get characteristics of this patient group.

Patients not referred by a general practitioner or ambulance service at the emergency department.
Exclusion criteria
Referral by a general practitioner or ambulance service.
