Study objective

The action of statins in CRC is dependant on the expression of elements of the BMP pathway.

- 2 years before diagnosis of CRC until time of diagnosis

Inclusion criteria

- Primary diagnosis of colorectal carcinoma between 1st of January 2000 and 31st of December 2007 in the Netherlands and registered in the PHARMO RLS.

Exclusion criteria

- Medical history of colorectal cancer, chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy
