Primary outcome
- Psychometric properties of the Dutch translated version of the QoR-40 and the IPO
- Cross cultural validity
Secondary outcome
- Correlation between the QoR-40 and the IPO scores
Background summary
Rationale: TheQoR-40 and IPO are sophisticated outcome measurement tools that assess several outcome domains of post-surgical recovery. Both are validated in English, with good psychometric properties. The difference between the instruments lies in the domains they address; the IPO has an additional question about patient satisfaction.
The questionnaires are widely used and are translated in several languages. However, they are not yet translated and validated in the Dutch language. Therefor we will translate the questionnaires in Dutch and validate them in the Dutch language.
Study design: Single center prospective cohort study
