Background summary
Early start of feeding in the recovery ward. We try to improve the nursing care by feeding early post operative.
Study objective
The implementation of feeding in highcare will lead to improved patient satisfaction, decrease in postoperative nausea and vomiting and a decrease in postoperative gastro-intestinal complications like ileus.

Intervention
None, feeding in recovery is advised but not frequently performed for its more complex logistics. This is an implementation study.
Inclusion criteria
All patients that stay overnight after surgery in the high care unit/pacu
Exclusion criteria
Age <18 years
Indication for fasting post-operative (oesophagectomy)
