Background summary
Chronic PTSD has great negative impact on psychological wellbeing and quality
of life. Whenever regular treatment with evidence based psychological
interventions is not succesful, rational rehabilitation, a short new cognitive
behavioural intervention, seems worthwile since it proved to be effective in
chronic psychiatric diseases.

open, randomized (waitinglist) controlled trail
Intervention
rational rehabilitation, short cognitive behavioural therapy

filling in questionnaires, max. 4 x 30 minutes

ptsd (dsm-IV), evidence based psychological intervention completed, persistent ptss-related symptoms
Exclusion criteria
actual ongoing ptss related treatment, mental retardation, involuntary treatment, psychiatric comorbidity (dsm-IV, axis 1)
