Background summary
Psychiatry and addiction go hand in hand, relatively often. On the basis of the
results of national and international research could be said that dual
diagnosis with the component Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is quite a problem.
There is no scientific knowledge regarding the need for nursing care and
support on behalf of patients with SUD and ADHD and/or PDD.
Research question:. What is the need for nursing care and support on behalf of
patients with SUD and ADHD and/or PDD.
Study objective
To gain insight regarding the need for nursing care and support on behalf of
patients with SUD and ADHD and/or PDD. Acquisition of knowledge about the
disease experience by the patient is important as a basis for professional
nursing knowledge about the target group.
Study design
The target group that this research is on, is made up of patients with SUD and
ADHD and/or PDD.
The interview will start with five exploring questions. Then 4 questionnaires
will be hold.
- Camberwell Assessment of Needs
- Scale for social functioning
- Utrecht Coping list
- Manchester short Assessment of Quality of life.
The results of the exploring questions will be presented by afterwards and
inductive coding. Results of the questionnaires will be presented and will be
compared with each other.
Study burden and risks
For the patient: Tax Time 9o min, no risks.
For the next person: Tax Time 45 mins, no risks.

Exclusion criteria
Patients who do not speak Dutch
patients with somatic complains who are not the direct result of SUD
