Outcome measures
Primary outcome
Ambulatory crisis intervention by the team; Clinical crisis intervention by the institution; service use in minutes; Actions taken by team based on report; Police interventions with mentally confused persons in the catchment area of the team
Secondary outcome
Service use per type of service, system fidelity, number of reports of non-collection requested by the team, number of reports received by the team.
Study objective
As collecting the medication at the pharmacist is a prerequisite for medication adherence, the pharmacist could support the doctor to be more responsive to a clients's non-adherence
Study design
Every report (actions taken) during the research period; at two and five months during the research period (system fidelity); regsitration data on outcomes per month for every month starting one year prior to implementation of the system
Intervention
Team use of a system that enables pharmasists to inform the psychiatrist (teamleader) when clients do not collect presciptions
Inclusion criteria
Clients in care with the Functional-ACT teams of Arkin Mental Health, receiving anti-psychotic medication or mood stabillizers through a pharmacy.
Exclusion criteria
Clients in care with the Functional-ACT teams of Arkin Mental Health that receive other medication than anti-psychotic medication or mood-stabilizers, receive their medication in depot form, or receive their medication in the institution.
