Background summary
Our research will focus on the assessment of the needs of patients facing hip or knee replacement to improve the development of decision. With the help of the needs assessment, we expect to produce a valid decision aid for knee and hip Arthroplasty patients, which is applicable in every Dutch orthopaedic practice.
Study objective
There is no difference between patients managed with a decision aid compared to patients not managed with a decision aid, regarding the decision of conflict scale.

Digital decision aid
Inclusion criteria
All adult (>18 years old) patients with moderate or severe osteoarthritis in either knee or hip will be invited to enroll.
Exclusion criteria
Inability to fill out the questionnaire or work through the decision aids.
