Background summary
A qualitative study will be performed in older adults living in disadvantaged neighborhoods in the north of the Netherlands. By the use of in-depth interviews, we aim to get insight in the aspects of quality of life that are important for these older adults. The aim of the study is to investigate the underlying factors that determine or influence quality of life in older adults with a low socioeconomic status.

Inclusion criteria
1. Age 65 year and older;
2. Living independently;
3. Low socio-economic status.
Exclusion criteria
Severe cognitive impairment or dementia.
