Background summary
There is limited data available on the macronutrient composition of the current hospital meals and the consumption by the patient during short-term hospitalization. In the present study we will assess the macronutrient composition of self-selected hospital meals. During 4 months we will weigh and record all meals and snacks, provided and consumed in a hospital ward.
