Primary outcome
DXA value (including: lean body mass, fat mass, bone mineral content) comparison between 2 different (Holigic DXA) scans, assessed on the same day
Secondary outcome
DXA value (including: lean body mass, fat mass, bone mineral content) comparison within 1 DXA scan, after 2 consecutive scans on 1 (Hologic) system
Background summary
In the current study, four DXA scans will be performed (four consecutive scans on 2 different Hologic DXA scanners; two scans per system) on one day in 15 human volunteers and a phantom.
The two different DXA scans will be compared to investigate the level of agreement between both scans.
In addition, the internal variation (within each scan) will also be assessed.
Study objective
We hypothesise that there will be no (substantial) differences between both scans for all relevant parameters (e.g. fat mass, lean mass, and bone mineral density) when the same subjects are measured on the same day, under the same conditions.

Healthy males and females of 18 years and older.

Humans younger than 18 years
Humans with any disease or disorder
