Background summary
This observational study aims to investigate whether the RAADS-R questionnaire and two short forms of the AQ are able to predict a clinical diagnosis of ASD in adults referred to six specialized outpatient settings. The study will include 250 referrals and compare the rsults with data obtianed from 100 adults with anxiety and depressive disorders as well as 100 normal controls.
Study objective
The study aims to assess the effectiveness of the RAADS-R 80 item questionnaire (RAADS-R) and of two short versions of the Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) to predict a clinical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in an outpatient population, and to differentiate between ASD and anxiety of depression.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: between 18 and 55 years, no history of substance use disorder, no intellectual impairment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: no proficiency in the Dutch language, illiteracy, major auditory and visual impairments, current psychotic of manic episode.
