Intervention
Outcome measures
Primary outcome
Short circuit current.
Secondary outcome
Base current;
Base potential difference.
Background summary
A trial set up to evaluate the possible difference between chloride secretion healthy controls versus constiapted children.
Study objective
Disturbed chloride secretion in constipated children versus controls.
Study design
As we are not treating patient: we do not have time points.
Intervention
Biopsies from patients will be mounted in ussing chambers to measure the short circuit current and differential potential. We are not treating patients but we are asking them for 2 extra biopsies when they are undergoing coloscopic treatment or undergoing rectal biopsies to exclude Hirschsprung's disease.
