Intervention
Outcome measures
Primary outcome
D/P creatinine.
Secondary outcome
1. D/P sodium;
2. D/P urea;
3. Ultrafiltration volumes.
Background summary
Comparing the effect of 3.86% glucose versus icodextrin as preceding dwells on the results of the 3.86% glucose PET in CAPD.
Study objective
Preceding dwell with icodextrin does not influence the results of the 3.86% glucose PET in CAPD.
Study design
Two PETs within 2 weeks.
Intervention
Two Peritoneal Equilibration Tests in CAPD patients with different preceding long dwells (3.86% glucose versus icodextrin).
