Outcome measures
Primary outcome
Survivorship of the all-polyethylene tibial component. Primary outcome is revision for aseptic loosening.
Secondary outcome
Secondary outcome is revision for other reasons.
Background summary
We will perform a survival analysis up to 20 years of 105 all-polyethylene tibial components in TKA in 81 rheumatoid arthritis. Endpoint is revision of the tibial component.
Study objective
All polyethylene tibial components in total knee arthroplasty in rheumatoid arthritis patients gives durable long term results.
Study design
Follow-up at 20 years after total knee arthroplasty.
Intervention
Total knee arthroplasty.
Inclusion criteria
1. Primary all-polyethylene tibial component total knee arthroplasty;
2. Rheumatoid arthritis;
3. Operation date from 1979-1990;
4. Operation performed in AZL/LUMC Leiden.
