Nutritional practices in PICUs across the world assessed by an online questionnaire

-Use of guidelines and implementation in specific PICUs
-Assessment of nutritional (energy and protein) requirements
-Current practice of enteral and parenteral nutrition
Background summary
There is little information available about the present nutritional support practice for pediatric patients in ICUs and there appears to be a wide variation in management. Therefore this study will survey the nutritional practices in PICU across the world by a questionnaire.
Specific points of interest are the use and implementation of guidelines, assessment of nutritional (energy and protein) requirements and current practice in providing enteral and parenteral nutrition.
The questionnaire will be distributed to (pediatric) physicians in PICUs worldwide and is composed of 59 questions divided into 4 sections and will be provided in 4 languages.
