Primary outcome
Treatment of symptoms: rectal blood loss, pijn, swelling, itchiness and rectal fluid-loss
Secondary outcome
Patient satisfaction, recurrences, cross-over in treatment and time spent on sick-leave
Background summary
The effectiveness, recurrences and level of patient satisfaction are compared for patients with grade 1-2 hemorrhoids being treated with either rubberband ligation versus sclerotherapy
Study objective
The first hypothesis is that both treatments are equal in levels of recurrences of hemorrhoids. The second hypothesis is that sclerotherapy is 10% beter in patient satisfaction
Study design
Inclusion shall hopefully start April 2020 and run unto April 2021
Intervention
Sclerotherapy versus rubberband ligation
Inclusion criteria
grade 1 of 2 hemorrhoids, no previous treatment of hemorrhoids in the last 2 years
Exclusion criteria
<18 years, grade 3-4 hemorrhoids
