Background summary
Congenital hand deformities have different types of expression and severity.
The deformities can vary from an additional finger to a completely absent
thumb. All deformities reduce the patients function in daily life. Included
deformities are hypoplastic thumb, thumbaplasia,clapsed thumbs, radial
polydactyly,clefts,syndactyly, symbrachydactyly and arthrogryposis multiplex
congenita.
Study objective
Objective of the study is to evaluate the long term results of the
interventions of the above mentioned deformities.
Study design
Patients will have to fill out a questionnairre concerning function in daily
life and development. The hand/thumb itself will be tested on several aspects
eg range of motion. Additional x rays will be made.

burden: one time visit to outpatients clinic , duration 60 min
