Background summary
The proposed study aims to aquire Dutch norms for four questionnaires measuring
psychiatric symptoms; the Social Fobia Scale (SFS), Social Interaction Scale
(SIAS), Cognitive Scale for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (CS-FBD) and the Body
Image Concern Inventory (BICI).
The SFS and the SIAS belong togehter; they are developed at the same time and
by the same authors. Both questionnaires are translated by E. de Beurs and A.
Scholing. The CS-FBD and the BICI are translated by E. de Beurs and Y.R. van
Rood. Norms for the general Dutch population are not available. Norms are
necessary to determine whether the scores of patients on these questionnaires
differ from the general Dutch population.

Aquiring Dutch norms for the Social Fobia Scale (SFS), Social Interaction Scale
(SIAS), Cognitive Scale for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (CS-FBD) and the Body
Image Concern Inventory (BICI).
Study design
Observational study with the use of questonnaires
Study burden and risks
Burden for the participating subjects is minimal and consist filling in
questionnaires during 12 minutes. There are no risks associated with
participation in this study.
