Background summary
Background:
Chronic pelvic pain is a prevalent condition causing distress and disability.
Little is known about the natural course of this condition and associated
factors. Research on other chronic (pain) conditions reveals that prognosis of
these conditions is related to illness related attributions and cognitions
Study objective
Aim: By conducting a retrospective evaluative follow up study we attempt to
answer the following question: Is(full) recovery of pelvic pain in women
associated with illness related attributions and cognitions about their
condition?
