Background summary
34-70% of the stroke patients are confronted with a paresis of their upper
extremity as a result of their stroke. To improve upper extremity functioning
after stroke a lot of research to improve rehabilitationtreatment is performed.
To test the effectiveness of new therapies measurement instruments are
developed to assess armfunction after stroke. The Wolf Motor Function Test is a
test to evaluate armfunction. At the moment no dutch version of this test
exists which can be used in rehabilitation practice.

Study burden and risks
The risk for patients during participation in this study is comparable with the
risk during a physiotherapy session.

Strokepatient, at least 2 weaks after stroke
Paresis of the arm/hand, MRC 2-5 in wrist
Exclusion criteria
severe aphasia or cognitive dysfunctioning
