Background summary
The administration of progesterone and the treatment of bacterial vaginosis
have been proven to be effective in preventing preterm birth in women with a
previous preterm birth. Since the publication of the evidence voor this
prevention strategy, several Dutch obstetric clinics have started
implementation. However, registration of performed treatment shows that this
strategy is by far not applied in all eligible cases.
