Background summary
It concerns a study into the usefulness of a quality of life measure (SMFA) in
patients with a fracture in the Netherlands. All patients who are seen at the
emergency room, department of Surgery, or department of Orthopedic surgery in
the Elisabeth hospital with a single uncomplicated fracture are asked to
participate in the study. Questionnaires will be completed three times.
Study objective
The aim of this study is to examine the psychometric properties of the Dutch
adaptation of the SMFA.
Study design
We want to include 400 patients with a single uncomplicated fracture during a
period of six months.
