and Turkey, also comparing western (NL and US) versus non-western (Turkey)

Background summary
Behcet syndrome is a complex auto-inflammatory disease. Inflammation can occur
in nearly all organs. Stomatitis aphtosa is almost allways present. In
research, only patients fullfilling the International criteria for Behcet
syndrome are included. The prognosis of patients with this disease can vary
from mild muco-cutaneous disease to life-threatening vasculitis, for example of
the brain. Recently it was noted that eye involvement of patients with Behcet
syndrome is milder in patients in Western countries when compared to
non-western countries.
