Background summary
Fruit and vegetable intake has been associated with lower risks for certain
cancers, cardiovascular diseases and overweight. However, the majority of the
population does not meet the daily recommendations. Therefore a better
understanding of the determinants of fruit and vegetable intake is needed in
order to develop effective interventions that promote fruit and vegetable
intake.
