Primaire uitkomstmaten
Primary and secondary patency after PVO intervention, and patient and graft survival after PVO intervention
Achtergrond van het onderzoek
Therapeutic strategies to treat portal vein obstruction (PVO) include percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) with or without stent, Mesorex Bypass (MRB)/other surgical shunts, endovascular recanalization, endovascular splenic arterial embolisation, splenectomy, and conservative treatment. PTA is the treatment option where the most publications refer to. However, currently only small single centre studies are reported and frequently with different treatment protocols. The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of the individual treatments for PVO after paediatric liver transplantation and determine patient and graft survival. Secondary objectives are to asses prevalence numbers of PVO, technical success, post-treatment complications and medicinal management
