As a result of the obesity epidemic, the number of bariatric surgery procedures has increased worldwide. Bariatric surgery has proven to be effective in the majority of morbid obese patients. However, 20 – 30% experiences insufficient weight loss or weight regain. The aim of this study is to identify risk factors for weight regain after bariatric surgery.

Primary bariatric procedure
Follow-up at obesity center of Ziekenhuisgroep Twente
Informed consent
Belangrijkste redenen om niet deel te kunnen nemen (Exclusiecriteria)
Secondary and/or tertiary bariatric procedures
Participation in diet- or intervention program which is not included in standard care after bariatric surgery
Not able to apply the protocol, due to various reasons including moving, terminal disease, cognitive or psychological problems
Insufficient Dutch language comprehension
