Achtergrond van het onderzoek
Several factors improve the prognosis for tooth survival of endodontically treated teeth, such as a cusp coverage restoration, the presence of mesial and distal contacts and type of tooth. The primary objective of this practice-based study was to evaluate the survival of molar teeth with ETC scores of II and III within a specialist setting with a minimum service time after the root canal treatment of 12 months. Secondary objectives were to evaluate the quality of the coronal seal, the restoration and the endodontic treatment

Belangrijkste voorwaarden om deel te mogen nemen (Inclusiecriteria)
• Patient should be over ≥18 years of age.
• Patient should be mentally competent and provide written informed consent.
• ASA I or II [de Jong, 1994]. This ASA score is already known before participation, due to regular check-ups.
• Patient should have received root canal treatment at the Special Dental Care Center of the Martini hospital, with a minimum service time of 12 months, in the period of January 2012 and October 2017.
Belangrijkste redenen om niet deel te kunnen nemen (Exclusiecriteria)
• ASA III or higher.
• Patient who received root canal treatment with a service time of less than 12 months.
