Achtergrond van het onderzoek
This study aims to validate the two minute stept test in patients who underwent a trans catheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), by comparing it with a cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET), by evaluating test - retest reliability, and by evaluating change in two minute step scores between baseline and 6 months and comparing this change with patients' subjectively experienced improvement.
Doel van het onderzoek
The sub maximal exercise test, i.e. The two minute step test, is reliable in measuring METs levels and VO2-peak, compared to measurements through CPET.
The sub maximal exercise test, i.e. the two minute step test has a high (>0.7) test - retest reliability.
The sub maximal exercise test, i.e. the two minute step test is responsive to change in experienced physical fitness and health.
Onderzoeksopzet
Baseline: 30 days +/- 15 days after TAVI procedure
T1: 5-7 days after baseline
T2: 6 months +/- 15 days after TAVI procedure
