It was hypothesised that a workshop or a workshop in combination with the introduction of safety needles would reduce the incidence of needlestick injuries and increase behavioural change with respect to safety measures when using needles.
Onderzoeksopzet
Baseline before randomisation (T0), after six months (T1) and after 12 months (T2).
Onderzoeksproduct en/of interventie
1) ‘Workshop’ consisting of an interactive powerpoint presentation during 1 hour with information exchange about prevalence, causes, risks and prevention of needle stick injuries
2) ‘Workshop and introduction of safety needles’ consisting of a workshop (see intervention 1), immediately followed with the introduction of safety needles’ (BD Eclipse TM).
