Uitkomstmaten
Primaire uitkomstmaten
Added diagnostical value to low b-value scans, indicated by radiologists.
Achtergrond van het onderzoek
High b-value diffusion weighted imaging is currently used as diagnostical indicator for prostate pathology. Prostate pathology is indicated on DWI imaging by restriction of intercellular diffusion. Most high b-value scans currently exists on 3T MRI scanners. The current study tries to assess the viability of high b-value diffusion weighted imaging for 1.5T MRI systems.
Doel van het onderzoek
High B-value diffusion weighted MR imaging at 1.5T has sufficient quality to be considered as addition to lower b-values in order to increase diagnostical value of the dussion weighted imaging series.
