Achtergrond van het onderzoek
72 healthy subject will perform an adapted Bruce protocol bicycle exercise test and a 'level of fitness dependant protocol' using bicycle ergometry, with a minimum of one week and a maximum of 3 weeks in between. Which test is taken first is deceided by means of chance. Direct gas-analysis is used to measure VO2. The hypothesis that the 'level of fitness dependant protocol' yields a higher VO2max is tested.
