Overall survival (OS): from start of treatment with docetaxel, cabazitaxel, abiraterone or enzalutamide until last follow up or death (whichever comes first). Last follow up or death will be obtained from the subjects medical file. Last follow up is regarded as the most recent follow up contact of the subject.
Achtergrond van het onderzoek
In the present study we will eavluate the presence and prognostic value of a flare of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) who are treated in our institution with docetaxel, cabazitaxel, abiraterone or enzalutamide. We will differentiate between patients who do or do not use bone modifying agents. In addition, the presence and prognostic value of a PSA flare in these patients will be investigated. Most relevant in this are the patients treated with enzalutamide, as a PSA flare in this group has not been described in the literature, to our knowledge. Finally, we will investigate the potential relationship between ALP flare and PSA flare in our patietn population treated with docetaxel, cabazitaxel, abiraterone or enzalutamide.
