Achtergrond van het onderzoek
We will compare TRPchannel expression on the urothelium of normal human bladder to the expression in overactive bladder disorders.

Onderzoeksproduct en/of interventie
We will take a cold cut biopsy from the bladder mucosa in patients who undergo a planned cystoscopy. The tissue from patients with overactive bladder will be compared to that from normal patients with in vitro examinations, such as calcium imaging, immunohistochemistry and contractility.
this intervention is a one-time event and will take approximately 1minute. In vitro processing of the tissue will require about 2days per patient.

Belangrijkste voorwaarden om deel te mogen nemen (Inclusiecriteria)
Any patiënt that has a normal or an overactive bladder, wether it is neurogenic or idiopathic, and who undergoes a planned cystoscopy, can enter the trial.
Belangrijkste redenen om niet deel te kunnen nemen (Exclusiecriteria)
History of disease of the urinary tract (OAB not included).
