Achtergrond van het onderzoek

This study determines the cost-effectiveness of CBT in schizophrenia patients with persistent and recurrent psychosis. The intervention is done in regular schizophrenia treatment at nine sites in the Netherlands.

To determine the cost-effectiveness of CBT compared to care as usual in patients with a recent onzet of schizophrenia, who suffer from persistent and recurrent symptoms of psychosis.

1. Schizophrenia patients in te first five years after onset;

2. Age 18-64;

3. Treatment resistent or recuurent psychosis.

Belangrijkste redenen om niet deel te kunnen nemen (Exclusiecriteria)

1. IQ<80;

2. Severe addiction;

3. No competence of Dutch language;

4. 4 or more CBT sessions in the last year.
