Differences in the relationship between deformation and area during one heart cycle between patients with different (pressure or volume related) cardiovascular diseases.
Achtergrond van het onderzoek
Recent technical developments allow monitoring of deformation (strain) and area using echocardiography. Using this information enables the production of an deformation-area loop. In this study we will investigate the relationship between the deformation of the ventricle and the area of the ventricle for different (pressure or volume related) cardiovascular diseases. We aim to asses the usefulness of these deformation-area loops for detection and identification of (pressure related) cardiovascular diseases.

- Presence of aorta valve stenosis, pulmonary stenosis, pulmonary arterial hypertension, pulmonary valve insufficiency, aortic valve insufficiency or left ventricular hypertension.
- Recent echocardiographic assesment
Belangrijkste redenen om niet deel te kunnen nemen (Exclusiecriteria)
- hypokinetich or akinetic cardiac wall segments due to a myocardiol infarction in the past
