Achtergrond van het onderzoek
The recently validated multidimensional 15-item Dutch Quality of Recovery-15 (QoR-15NL) scale is a paper-based patient-reported outcome measure, assessing the quality of recovery after surgery and anaesthesia in the postoperative period. However, administering the QoR-15NL is labor intensive, limiting its feasibility in clinical practice and research. Therefore, this study aims to develop a smartphone-administered, electronic version of the QoR-15NL (eQoR-15NL) and demonstrate measurement equivalence compared to the original QoR-15NL.
Doel van het onderzoek
It was hypothesised that the smartphone-administered eQoR-15NL has comparable measurement properties (i.e. measurement equivalence) compared to the paper-based QoR-15NL questionnaire.

Finally, patients need to complete both questionnaires correctly since the sample size calculation is based on complete pairs.
Belangrijkste redenen om niet deel te kunnen nemen (Exclusiecriteria)
Patients will be excluded if they do not give informed consent, do not own or use a smartphone, return incomplete questionnaires, are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or the Postoperative Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) during the first night postoperatively (both scheduled or unscheduled); or if they have either poor Dutch comprehension, a psychiatric disturbance that precluded complete cooperation, a known history of alcohol or drug dependence, any severe preexisting medical condition that limited objective assessment after operation, any life-threatening postoperative complication or a postoperative delirium
