Achtergrond van het onderzoek
Fat grafting, i.e. transplantation of autologous adipose tissue for volume enhancement or correction of soft tissue defects, is already used in clinical practice for decades. It is used for restoring volume in various anatomical regions including the face. One of the main challenges is the variable retention rate of the grafted adipose tissue. When fat is enriched with the non-adipocyte fraction, it is hypothesized that the volume retention will be improved. We will perform a clinical study testing this hypothesis.
