Doel van het onderzoek
The INFLAME project will strengthen national registry collaboration by building upon and expanding previous experience with biobanking experience in rare BC subtypes. INFLAME will be supporting expansion of IBC research within international registry collaborations. Therefore, this project can be a model for the approach of future cancer research in (anticipated) increasingly small subgroups of breast cancer. The relevance of the INFLAME project for patient care clearly lies in the potential improved outcome for IBC patients. Increased IBC awareness due to INFLAME and thereby earlier detection will support this, in addition to improved molecular insights for IBC-specific targeting and detection. Based on the INFLAME project, standardized treatment insights and guidelines may be developed.
