Achtergrond van het onderzoek
Chronic pain affects 20% of the European population. Treatment still needs improvement while research is mostly focused on men. There are indications that male and female differ in pain sensitivity and experience. Known is the influence of motion pictures on emotions. The extent of influence on pain sensitivity is unknown. Purpose of this research was collecting data in the Dutch population on factors that could influence the pain sensitivity.
