Doel van het onderzoek
The hypothesis is that use of 360⁰ VR video as information source will reduce anxiety and pain in children undergoing intravenous infusion. Subsequently, the expectation is that children will experience the hospital visit less negative and will therefore be less anxious during a subsequent visit. In addition, we expect that this way of preparation for intravenous infusion will speed up the procedure, which will save costs and increase patient satisfaction.

Belangrijkste voorwaarden om deel te mogen nemen (Inclusiecriteria)
Children aged 6 - 16 years old who have to ondergo intravenous infusion
Belangrijkste redenen om niet deel te kunnen nemen (Exclusiecriteria)
-Intravenous infusion in the previous 6 months
-Medically diagnosed psychological / psychiatric disorder
-Anxiety Disorder
-Cognitive disorder, mental retardation
-Little knowledge of the Dutch language, both for patient and parent
-Need for the use of dormic or nitrous oxide during the procedure
-Visual defects
-Epilepsy
